HAND-CAST BRASS & BRONZE
3-CHAIN HOOKS

Three of these hooks are commonly needed to suspend a traditional '3-chain shade'. The hooks are slotted onto the lip of the shade at equi-distant intervals (with the 'long leg' section concealed under the rim).
Three lengths of chain are also needed. The bottom of each chain length is hooked onto one of the shade hooks on the glass and then the top of each chain length is attached to one of the three hooks on the hooked ceiling dome.

These new hooks are hand-cast from an original design.

These particular hooks are old refurbished originals and have a florentine bronze finish. The spine is in two joined segments like the folded back wings of a bird.

3-CHAIN HOOKS

These particular hooks are less traditional in appearance and have been refurbished. They are reasonably chunky in appearance. The bolt holds the hook firmly in place onto the rim of the shade, care being taken not to adjust too tightly. The chain link will be separated and fed through the circular top hole and the link then closed.

( 2 PART ) 3- CHAIN SHADE BUTTONS

Once again, hand-cast from an original design. These buttons are for those 3-chain shades that sometimes have three individual holes drilled through the glass, through which each hooked button is screwed.

The button is seen from the outside of the glass, with the hooked part on the inside to hold the chains.

This is a new 3-hook dome made of brass-plated pressed steel.
It has an ornate pressed design. The three hooks are in the closed position ie. not 'open' (as in the 2418 domes). It is quite shallow and probably ideal for situations where lack of ceiling height is an issue.
